Story

"Good evening, my lovely little slaves to fate." Shishimai Rinka was a highschooler who ran a small café named Lion House in place of her grandmother. She lived her life much like any other person her age, but one day, she was caught up in an explosion while returning home on the train alongside her friend, Hitsuji Naomi. In an attempt to save her friend's life, she shields her on instinct the moment the explosion goes off, losing her life in the process. However, before she knew it, she was back at Lion House, happily chatting with her friends as if nothing had happened in the first place.

A few days later, she found herself in a strange world. Here she met Parca, an odd girl claiming to be a goddess. It turns out that she had somehow become a participant in Divine Selection, a ritual carried out over twelve weeks by twelve people, which allowed them to compete in order to undo their deaths. What shocked Rinka most of all, however, was the presence of her friend Mishima Miharu amongst the twelve.

In order to make it through Divine Selection, one must eliminate others by gathering information regarding their name, cause of death and regret in the real world, then "electing" them.

This turn of events would lead to her learning about the truth behind her death, as well as her own personal regrets. She would also come to face the reality that Miharu was willing to throw her life away for her sake, as well as the extents to which the other participants would go to in order to live through to the end.

Far more experiences than she ever could have imagined awaited her now, but where will her resolve lead her once all is said and done...?

    Game Thoughts
The more I read through the script, the more I found myself absorbed in the setting at large. The story itself is an exciting ride, but the characters are easy to get attached to as well by nature of their different goals and motives. I'm confident everyone will have a good time with this.
    Character Thoughts
Rinka feels very much like a girl in her teens. She's sweet and honest, but also has something of a selfish side to her. Her calm demeanor at times might make her feel a bit older than she actually is, but there's plenty of parts within the story where you can tell her youth influences her actions. I'd say the contrast between said actions and her image, not to mention her attempts to get past the hurdles she's presented with, are the most charming things about her.
    Message for Players
Fatal Twelve is one of those games that can pull you in and tug at your heartstrings in all sorts of ways. Your support is what made this game happen, so I hope you're all able to experience that same range of emotions as I did. Not just through Rinka, but the rest of the cast as well. There's plenty to see here, so try not to miss any of it!

It's…super interesting. I realize that may not be the most appropriate way to sum it up considering my position as part of the voice cast, but I was so engrossed while reading the script that I genuinely forgot to stop and double check my lines and such. You get a good taste of both the everyday occurrences and the wilder events within the setting. Even better yet is that it's not solely through the protagonist's eyes, either; you're exposed to a number of perspectives and mindsets throughout the story, so I honestly hope people take the time to play through it.
    Character Thoughts
Naomi seems like a very bashful, clumsy girl on the surface. The type you just want to protect with all your heart. Her kindness is her greatest strength however, which goes hand in hand with her willingness to stick her neck out for others when the situation calls for it. She's a strong girl with a radiant personality; that was my biggest takeaway from voicing her.
    Message for Players
All personal bias aside, Naomi's development through the course of Divine Selection can't be understated. I put everything I had into ensuring that both her unwavering strength in the face of perilous situations and her kindess would come across well to everyone, so I hope you all see Rinka's story through to the end alongside her!

    Game Thoughts
I've always been a fan of thrillers and mysteries, so the story being presented here was right up my alley. You can find me reading books and watching movies pertaining to both genres often in my free time, but even then I found myself really enjoying this as I read through the scripts. The characters and their outlook on the world and life themselves are just as captivating, too. I'd easily recommend this to those who enjoy thrillers and the like, even for those who don't normally play games much!
    Character Thoughts
I was honestly a bit lost as to how I should go about voicing Miharu at the beginning. Not just because of her more boyish attitude, but her feelings towards Rinka as well. I was able to relate to her more and more as I read through the scripts, though. She's a strong-willed girl, but with a more brittle side to her as well; it's hard not to like someone who feels as real as she does. I'm glad I could play the role of her in the end, even if it was brief.
    Message for Players
I mean it when I say the story is fantastic! Even better is that it's full of loveable, charming characters as well! Your support played as much a part in this game coming out as the staff's did, so I hope you're all able to get the best out of it!

    Game Thoughts
Let's just say that I was brimming with curiosity as to how things would play out as I was reading! I kept getting attached to all the characters as well, to the point where I kept hoping they'd all get a happy ending, haha. Federico and Odette's exchanges were a personal favorite, I couldn't stop laughing whenever they got going!
    Character Thoughts
My first thought when I saw the design for Parca was that she was really cute, but I got a shiver or two down my spine when I learned that she's one to take pleasure in the suffering of others. It was really fun voicing her, though! Hopefully she'll make you all suffer as well. ♪
    Message for Players
There's so much to love between the story and the characters themselves here, so hopefully everyone can get their hands on it as soon as possible! I'm looking forward to seeing which conclusion everyone reaches!

    Game Thoughts
It's a game where the story itself takes center stage, and the focus on people's regrets in life itself is incredibly interesting. Each character's lives are represented by their thoughts and decisions made throughout the story, and the dramatic turns that accompany them never failed to grab me.
    Character Thoughts
My first impressions of Alan is that he's a bit broken in terms of his strength and how many facets there are to his character. At the same time though, seeing his calm and collected attitude take a backseat to his natual persona when dealing with Rinka makes him all the more charming.
    Message for Players
I hope everyone takes the opportunity to fully enjoy both the dramatic turns of the story and how each character's way of life are represented.

    Game Thoughts
While the concept behind Divine Selection is pretty far detached from reality, one of the key parts of it involves people's regrets. The game goes to lengths to show that, no matter what sort of person you are, you're bound to have some regrets in life. It's easy to relate to them and experience a whole range of emotions through this.
    Character Thoughts
Odette's certainly larger than life, isn't she? Her brute strength is imposing enough on its own, but she has the brains to match as well. Definitely not the type you want as your enemy. There's something oddly likeable about her though, especially when she's joking around with others.
    Message for Players
The game gives you plenty think about as you progress, especially in regards to the characters when their cause of death and regrets come to light. Hopefully everyone takes the time to see everyone's stories through to the end.

My biggest takeaway was in regards to the incredibly difficult choices the cast are presented with. I've tried imagining myself in the same situation, but chances are I'd be so wracked with doubt that I wouldn't do anything in the end.
    Character Thoughts
Federico grows a lot as a character throughout the story, I'd say. Enough so that I actually felt I could learn a thing or two from him, so make sure to keep an eye on him!
    Message for Players
What would you all do with posed with the opportunity to live on at the expense of another's life? You're bound to enjoy the game even more if you keep that question in mind as you play.

    Game Thoughts
While it was the serious tone of the story that stuck out for me at first, I quickly came to realize how real everything felt as I made my way through the scripts. The three pieces of information pertaining to each participant are things we have and/or will come to have ourselves, and it all serves as a reminder that we go through our lives making all sorts of important decisions. You may even find yourself asking which choices you would make in their position.
    Character Thoughts
"My character's a bit tricky to talk about without spoiling things, haha. What I can say is that while it was painful learning about them as I read through the script, I did come that they're a pure-hearted, good kid. While still listed as ??? for now, I can assure you that their real name is wonderful!
    Message for Players
The story may progress from Rinka's point of view for the most part, but each and every participant has their own history and feelings as they go through Divine Selection. There's plenty of other interesting factors crammed into the game, so I'd recommend going through it multiple times with differing perspectives in mind. You're bound to find something new each time!

    Game Thoughts
The first thought that springs to mind after going through both the script and the demo is that it's deep! There's a lot of care taken to depict each character's lives, relationships and positions within the setting. That, along with other factors, make it all the more enjoyable to read!
    Character Thoughts
Scale seemed like just a merry chap to me at first, but there's actually a lot more to him than that. Most people tend to have two sides to them, so that helps make him feel all the more human. In fact, there's a number of points where he resembles myself, so maybe it was fate that I ended up voicing him! Haha.(笑)
    Message for Players
I'm all about the story when it comes to games, myself. That's why I hope everyone takes the time to go through this plenty of times so they can experience how interesting it is on a number of layers. Let's change fate together, hahaha!!!

    Game Thoughts
The only way one can eliminate another is by getting to know them, so of course they're going to feel something when they learn another's regret. Seeing how each participant handles this is part of the game's charm, I'd say!
    Character Thoughts
He definitely seemed like a stubborn old man to me at first, but everyone has a reason for how they act. I was able to understand why he became the way he did while reading through the story, which helped me get more and more attached to him. He may not be a handsome man, much less a beautiful girl, but he remains a memorable character nonetheless.

    Game Thoughts
It's one of those games where you get so hooked that you can't take your eyes off it for even a second. The cast experience all sorts of things within it, and you're always left wondering how their decisions will affect their fate. I honestly never got bored while going through the script.
    Character Thoughts
He certainly lived up to his description as an enigma when I first read through the script, so it was hard to imagine his relation to the other characters and his own feelings in regards to everything. I was able to get a much better grasp of him the more I read over it though, so now I'm overjoyed that I had the opportunity to voice someone as interesting as him.
    Message for Players
As I said in my comments on the game, the cast go through all sorts of emotions and experiences through the story. Playing while taking this all into consideration will no doubt lead to new discoveries regarding them. It would bring me nothing but joy as part of the voice cast to know that people enjoyed said discoveries, too.

    Game Thoughts
Portrayed within the story is a game where someone's second chance at life is at stake. One might want to criticize the participants themselves for taking part, but you'll quickly realize that having an attachment to one's own life isn't strictly a bad thing when you learn about each character's regrets and their efforts to prevail in the end. In fact, you're likely to agree with them.
    Character Thoughts
It's easy to assume she's a bright and cheerful girl from her character design, but well… You quickly learn that appearances can be deceiving, as that's merely a reality she herself had hoped for. Sometimes she'll be sad, other times she'll be running wild with excitement; truly an odd, yet lovely girl!
    Message for Players
It was my earnest desire for everyone to come to love Sonya while voicing her, so I did everything I could to ensure that happens! I'm sure she'll have no regrets if everyone gets to know and care for her, so please spare some time to witness her attain the happiness she longed for.

Seeing how people approach their lives through death was an interesting experience for me. I took the time to play through the demo as well, which is incredibly well made. Enough to drag you straight into the setting without issue!
    Character Thoughts
I was told that, while in her 30s, it might be best to play her as a nice lady who just happens to be very unfortunate. Then I read through the script and couldn't help but think that "very unfortunate" doesn't even begin to describe her, haha.
    Message for Players
This is definitely the sort of game that'll have you wondering what you would do in each character's position. Personally, I hope the players are touched by Keiko's motherly nature.

The characters may be taking part in a game where their lives are at stake, but special care is taken to make them all feel human. I haven't had the chance to enjoy the story in full, but I can say that its timing when it comes to exposing the cast's strong points is impeccable. It'll surprise you in more ways than one.
    Character Thoughts
He may not have much screentime, but he serves as a prime example of what happens to those who lose for the protagonist and other participants. It's easy to assume he's something of a bad guy as well, but his unpredctability warmed me up to him.
    Message for Players
There's no doubt you'll find yourself wanting to see how everything pans out by nature of how great the characters and story are. I can say with confidence that this is an experience that will stay with you, so be sure to make it through the entire scenario. Of course, be sure to pace yourself as well!

    Game Thoughts
I found myself immediately concerned about what would happen to all the participants when I first started reading through the script, leading me to go through it multiple times. Part of me even thought about the possibility of me being eliminated at the beginning if I was a participant myself, haha.
    Character Thoughts
Chan's a very bright, lively girl who's always very straightforward with what she thinks and feels. Appearance-wise she looks like your standard nice lady, but she can be a bit ditzy as well. That contrast is part of her charm, I'd say.
    Message for Players
I'm sure you're all curious about how things play out for Chan and the rest of the participants as well, so there's only one thing to do! Play through it and see for yourselves, of course!
